KGNS reported that there were six buses heading to NRG Stadium to drop off seniors of Pasadena Memorial High School to attend their graduation when the first bus attempted to avoid an accident with a truck which then led to a chain reaction crash. Four out of the six buses were involved in the wreck. The source stated that 11 of the high school seniors sustained injuries along with a bus driver and a faculty member. The students who had sustained injuries were placed on stretchers and transported to a local hospital.
